Day 8: a no-committed-output day
Week 2 opened on a Monday with nothing committed to any tracked repo. Backfilled honestly rather than dressed up.
Day 8 has no commits behind it. The four tracked repos — Birthday-Challenge (the Hub + factory sites), shot-spot (LocalShoot), Handscript, trustcore-media — all show zero activity on 2026-05-18. The Week 1 weekly review that Day 7 had queued didn’t land either; no reviews/ file appeared.
That’s it. Off-repo work that day (planning, video pre-production, research) isn’t captured in this trail and isn’t being invented to fill the gap. The rule from Day 7 holds: better an empty day with an “unlogged” note than fabricated activity to make the calendar look full.
What this entry is doing is closing the chain. The Day 7 → Day 9 jump would otherwise hide a real fact about the sprint — that Week 2’s committed output didn’t start on Monday. It started Tuesday. The reasons are operator-level, not repo-level, so they don’t belong in a public recap. The artifact does: one zero day exists in the chain, and it’s marked as such.
